1. What is meant by "domestic composting"?
Home composting is the practice that transforms the household organic waste into compost, a kind of humus which can be used as fertilizer for the land.
2. To implement the composting requires the use of the composter?
Composting is not strictly necessary for the implementation of the composter. In fact, Some prefer to bury in the ground or the heap. The result is essentially the same, the kinetics is different, oxygenation increases process speed. The composter is more aesthetically furnished and (being equipped with lid) is less susceptible to phenomena of stray dogs (see link 10 for information about requesting composter).
3. Where and how can I purchase the composter?
Until stocks are exhausted just go to environment policy area (via ing. Spadola 56) and fill out forms, you will then be invoked to retrieve the composter. 4. Kitchen waste of animal origin (bones, rotten meat) are suitable for the conduct of the compost pile?
It is preferable to avoid throwing the pile in animal bones and meat fermentation, in quanto il loro tempo di decomposizione è molto più lungo degli altri rifiuti. In addition, questa tipologia di scarti attira gli animali, con le evidenti conseguenze. É consigliabile comunque limitarne la quantità.
